Holistic Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists use physical techniques such as mobilization, exercises,
stretching and soft tissue massage to assist the body to heal itself.
Rachael uses a traditional hands-on approach which begins with a detailed
assessment of how your body is currently. She
looks at posture, muscle and nerve length, joint mobility etc. to see where
the body has "got stuck". She
also looks at where the areas of "tension" lie in your system
and how that can be relieved through breathing and relaxation.
Her unique approach looks at the patterns we form and use in our bodies
that keep us "stuck". Her teaching methods include increasing
awareness of body posture and its patterns, assisting you to find and
access where your body needs to be (to be more efficient and pain free).
She simply explains how joints, muscles and nerves interact and work,
helping her clients to understand their bodies more. Using clear and easy
stretches and exercises, her clients develop their own "toolkit"
to maintain the body as an effective tool.
Over time her clients learn to interpret what their body has been trying
to say to them through pain. Through learning their own body language,
the hope is that each client learns to listen to their body before it
reaches pain. This in turn leads to a more healthy way of being in the
world. |

" When you see, hear, understand and feel how your body needs to move, you learn how to become realigned, rebalanced and restored". |
